“I bring with me a set of values formed at home—my favorite is “be kind,” a principle that carries just as much weight in business as it does in life.”
What I Do
I invest in startups that complement Cisco’s strategy and extend our ability to support customers across the technology stack. My focus is on identifying founders and technologies where Cisco can offer unique value through product integration and go-to-market support. I work closely with teams to help align strategic fit, unlock growth opportunities, and strengthen Cisco’s innovation engine.
What I’m Passionate About
I’m passionate about understanding what makes founders tick. Their unique approaches often reveal the smartest solutions to the hardest problems.
I love the variety of the work. No day or deal is ever the same.
Fly fishing keeps me grounded. It takes me to beautiful places, clears my mind, and reminds me to be present.
Where I’ve Been
I’ve held Corporate Development roles across the tech stack—from semiconductors to application software—at companies large and small. At Splunk, I had the opportunity to help launch and grow Splunk Ventures before joining Cisco through its acquisition. That experience, especially being on the acquiree side, gives me a unique lens when working with founders and helping them scale inside a larger ecosystem.
Where I Learned
I earned my B.S. in Finance from University of Denver, where I focused on finance and strategy. That foundation continues to shape how I evaluate companies and build partnerships.
